I (Lianne) discovered hands-free walking mainly because I myself have difficulty walking . Because I no longer have to hold the line, I can fully focus on walking while walking. That helps me to stay better balanced.

I also notice that I stand firmer when walking hands-free when my dog suddenly pulls (hard) on the leash. That is because I can absorb the pulling force with my whole body instead of with one hand. That gives me a much safer feeling, especially because I trip more easily than others.

An added benefit : training my dog Tommie became a lot easier. Because my hands are free, I could teach him to walk nicely next to me more quickly. The hands-free system also gives him a clearer boundary and me more control.

Besides the convenience, I definitely recommend hands-free walking if you:
